“It's damn boring!” The second judge did not have his partner's patience for formalities. “If you can't get out there and show us you can think for yourself, then you're never going to make it past officer. I'm sorry, that's just how it is.” The first judge seemed annoyed at his partner's interruption but nonetheless nodded in agreement with him.
Gus managed one more solemn “Yes sir, thank you” before turning and making his way to the door.
